Although the hotel is brand new, there was no bin in the room nor wardrobe. The room was not cleaned for two days. The bed was to small for a double bed.
Noisy due to lack of double glazing and the wooden floors
No functioning Internet most of the time Tv fixed on wrong walls in most of rooms, impossible to watch
Beautiful building and good restoration, nice staff (I mean cordial and smiley, but not helpful and elegant in solving problems).
No facilities inside the room. Neither a bottle of water! No lift to the rooms (what about old people or disabled???). Plus, when we were assigned to the room, just right to the top floor (4th or 5th, I don't remember, but very top), by stairs, no one offered to help us with carrying our luggage! If this were a cheap hotel, I could understand (maybe...), but this is not definitely the case. Moreover, when the (top floor) room turned out to be the wrong one (we entered someone else's room!), cause of staff's mistake, we had to go down through a lot of floors to alert the staff, ok, but... Once again no one said: ok, no problem, we'll arrange everything for you and carry we ourselves your luggage in the right room, very sorry for this inconvenience. No: again, we stepped on our own to the top room, we carried the luggage down to the ground floor, and then up to the right room with luggage once again. I clearly asked: "have we to go upstairs once again with luggage on our own, for the second time and then go down with luggage to the reception and then go up once again with luggage to the new room?" And they simply replied yes. Awful. No one helped us, mostly if considering it was their (!!!) mistake. Neither they offered us the BREAKFAST(not included in the price!), for instance. Nothing. No one said sorry for this, for making you lose time and energies. Mistakes are human, but the difference is how mistakes are solved! At these high prices, the service is supposed to be much better, helpful and elegant in solving problems. Not like this.
It's new, it's clean, it's well decorated, it looks good, the room had more facilities than normally for the price.
My room fronted on to Gloucester Place and is next to a bus stop. Got woken by every bus that stopped in the night. With all the good facilities that the hotel has, why is there no secondary glazing for noise?
Modern, clean. The rooms are like a small studio apartment for students with microwave, cutlery, washing up facilities. You could cook a basic meal . No facilities - dining room, lift etc just nicely decorated rooms but there are many small restaurants close by where you can eat. Good hot water and comfortable beds.
Make sure you get a room at the back of the Hotel as it is very noisy at the front being situated directly on Gloucester Place,
very small room no place to hang clothes peculiar supply of hot water my room was over the road and it was extremely noisy 2 floors no lift luggage carrying a real pain
It's proximity to Baker Street tube station.Smart well presented interior, with a welcoming entrance. For the price, well furnished comfortably apartment.
I found the traffic noise a little intrusive at the front of the building.
Clean modern bit too warm
Traffic noise, warm
The location was excellent, we stayed in the first floor apartment which was spacious.
The fact that the heating kept knocking off and since it was the middle of December it was cool.
The room was clean and spacious and the en suite was modern and stylish .
We were given a big room but it was at ground level with a busy street and a bus stop outside our window. Buses were stopping every 15 minutes which disturbed us late into the night . No insulation to keep the noise down either
The staff were excellent. The room was clean. The location was amazing
Had to climb so many stairs to get to the room
I was looking for that location because my daughter needed to be at 7,30 nearby to do a SAT exam. The entrance of the Hotel looks nice. The decor was modern and it was a family room with a kitchenette. It had a nice big dinning table with six chairs and a sofa and two alcoves where the beds were. The check out was at 12.
They gave us two choice of rooms, one was far to noisy, with thin windows directly into the busy street the other one was in the basement. We had no natural light, it looked like communicating caves but my husband preferred that one because you could not hear the traffic. The bathroom was clearly and extension into the garden and it was freezing despite having a hot towel rail, that clearly could not be a substitute for a heating system. The queen size beds were taking most of the alcove's space so it could only have one bedside table in one side. The beds were really bad and uncomfortable and so were the pillows. Instead of a proper wardrobe it had a small open rack with five plastic hangers, clearly insufficient for four people. We had to hang the coats on the back of the chairs.
It was located a few minutes walk from Marylebone railway and tube station. My room had a kitchenette with a microwave, crockery and cutlery.
Shower didn't work Noisy room Staff wore shorts and T-shirt No hairdryer Dirty towels Another guests shower products in the shower
